Meta continues to push out features that further connect its apps, including Facebook and Instagram. Between these two, specifically, there is an Accounts Center you can access to better manage multiple accounts for both platforms.

Facebook and Instagram: Navigating to the Accounts Center
It’s easy to confuse the Accounts Center in the Facebook and Instagram apps with other settings, likeAccount ,Security ,Notifications , andPrivacy . These options are specific for each app and the account you’re using. The Accounts Center, however, is a central hub under Meta, the parent company of both platforms. Among the many features it offers, you can use it tocreate and link Facebook and Instagram accounts.

- Open Instagram and tap your profile picture at the bottom right.
- Tap the three lines at the top right of the app.
- TapSettings .
- At the bottom of theSettings page tapAccounts Center .

Here’s how to access the Accounts Center on Facebook:
- Open the Facebook app and tap the three lines at the top right of your screen.
- Tap theSettings cog underneath the notification bell at the top right of the screen.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom and tap theAccounts Center tab.
Opening the Accounts Center on both apps is relatively straightforward. After following these steps, you’re ready to start testing its features.
The Accounts Center Is Optional For Now
The Accounts Center, at least for Facebook and Instagram, is primarily aimed at making it easier to create and manage multiple accounts or profiles on both platforms.
While convenient, there are concerns about privacy and security regarding the Accounts Center. No need to fret, though. There are a few ways you can disconnect your Instagram account from your Facebook account, if you share those concerns.
